The Right Reverend Dr. Kimberley Heath, Moderator of The United Church of Canada Invites everyone to join the call for the establishment of a Guaranteed Livable Income (GLI) program. Since 1972, The United Church of Canada has been persistently calling for a Guaranteed Livable Income for decades. Today, real progress is being made. Detailed proposals and national legislation are being discussed in Parliament and in some provinces. These would ensure that, regardless of employment status, no one’s income falls below the poverty line.
